Η διάρκεια της πρακτικής άσκησης είναι από 9 Σεπτεμβρίου 2013 έως 5 Σεπτεμβρίου 2014.
Οι υποψήφιοι πρέπει να έχουν ελληνική ιθαγένεια.

12-Month Internship Program 2013-2014

With the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (www.SNF.org), The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for two interns to join our 12-Month Internship Program for 2013-2014. The internship duration is September 9, 2013 through September 5, 2014.

Description:
The Museum of Modern Art’s 12-Month Internship Program provides participants practical and theoretical training in museum practices and acquaints them with the role of museums in contemporary society. Working under the supervision of one of the Museum's professional staff, interns contribute to timely projects, gain insight into the functions of individual departments, and learn about the Museum's various collections, exhibitions, and programs for visitors. Internship projects are based on Museum needs and requirements and are assigned to interns with the appropriate skills and interests. 12-Month interns also have the opportunity to develop and regularly deliver public gallery talks about the Museum’s permanent collection. Participants work in a variety of Museum departments including curatorial, education, and external affairs, among others. This is a full time internship; the hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30a.m.-5:30p.m.

Eligibility:
Recent graduates of bachelor’s or master’s degree programs. The Museum encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines to apply. Applicants must be Greek Nationals.

Salary/Stipend:
$22,000 for the 12-month duration (this is subject to applicable taxes), plus standard Museum health benefits, two weeks paid vacation, and an additional $1,500 to cover travel expenses and registration fees for an approved professional conference or related professional development activity.

Work Visa:
If you are accepted into the program, the Museum will use its best efforts to assist you in obtaining a J-1 visa for the length of the internship. The Museum is an approved host organization for the J-1 visa in the intern and trainee categories.

1. What is the role of museums and how do you envision their potential for evolution?
2. Describe an individual or experience that has influenced your perception of the arts.
III. List department choices:
