Photobook Exhibition

Στο πλαίσιο του κεντρικού προγράμματος του Athens Photo Festival 2016 παρουσιάζεται έως την Κυριακή 31 Ιουλίου στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη, μία ξεχωριστή έκθεση αφιερωμένη στο φωτογραφικό βιβλίο. Πρόκειται για μια προσπάθεια να αναδειχθεί μια λιγότερο γνωστή πτυχή της καλλιτεχνικής δημιουργίας στη χώρα μας, που καθιστά το βιβλίο ένα αυτοτελές έργο, παρουσιάζοντας βιβλία από καλλιτέχνες (self published) και διεθνείς εκδοτικούς οίκους, εκδόσεις περιορισμένου αριθμού αντιτύπων, καταλόγους, zines και DIY έντυπα σε σχέση με τη φωτογραφία. Η έκθεση αυτή προτείνει στους φίλους της φωτογραφίας, του βιβλίου και της σύγχρονης δημιουργίας γενικότερα μια «άλλη» εμπειρία ανάγνωσης, όπου έχουν την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν περισσότερα από 350 επιλεγμένα βιβλία από όλο τον κόσμο, τα οποία αντανακλούν ένα ευρύ φάσμα σύγχρονων καλλιτεχνικών αναζητήσεων καθώς και τάσεων στο χώρο του βιβλίου, σε αισθητικό και τεχνικό επίπεδο.
